Established for more than 50 years, Jackson Moughal is an independent firm of Tax Advisers and Chartered Accountants. We provide a range of specialist tax, accounting and business advice to entrepreneurial businesses that have an ambition to grow.
The firm is based on the ethos of providing a professional and partner led service, allowing our clients to have access leading expertise in all areas of their financial affairs. Over the years, as our clients started to grow their businesses by diversifying both domestically and internationally, the practice also expanded and grew along with its clients.
The firm’s history dates back to 1973 when John Jackson, after leaving a successful Stockbroking career in London, returned to Glasgow to set up his own firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors. The firm was based a short distance from the old Glasgow Stock Exchange.
In 2003, Urfan Moughal, returned from London after a successful career in Corporate Finance, to set up his own firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors.
In 2009, the two firms of John Jackson and Urfan Moughal merged together and moved to the current location in the West End of Glasgow.
In September 2013, the firm expanded its UK footprint to London by opening an office in Eastcheap in the heart of the City, to serve its existing clients in London. In October 2016, as the base increased the firm needed to expand and moved to prestigious office’s based in Lincoln’s Inn Fields.
The majority of our clients are businesses with a growth strategy and are either family run or owned by private individuals who operate both domestically and internationally. Working with growing and dynamic businesses has enabled us to develop an understanding of our clients’ needs and aspirations and enabled us to build trusted relationships with our clients.
